Whether you’re in the lobby (standing around is not encouraged: linger at the bar) at one of two different pools or getting dinner at one of the on campus dining optionsthe sea is perpetually in view, enhancing the property’s serene, picturesque atmosphere.

My room at the King Evelthon Beach Hotel and Resort was absolutely stunning. Modern, spacious, stylishly furnished, it had everything I needed for a nice stay. The room had a huge king-size plush bed, private terrace with gorgeous sea views and bathroom stocked with luxury toiletry brands.

Among the best experiences ever was waking up to sound of the waves and drinking a morning coffee on the balcony watching sunrise over the Mediterranean. In-room amenities like high-speed Wi-Fi, a minibar and a flat-screen TV made sure I had everything I wanted as far as luxury and convenience goes.

Dining: A Culinary Delight

King Evelthon Beach Hotel and Resort offers several different dining options to entice food lovers. The resort has several restaurants, each featuring its own culinary experience.

• Buffet Restaurant: This all-day dining restaurant offered a variety of international and Mediterranean cuisine. Breakfast was a vast spread of fresh fruits, pastries, eggs, and local Cypriot delicacies; dinner included themed nights with different food from around the world.
• A La Carte Restaurants: Specialty restaurants  on the resort serving Italian, Greek, and Mexican cuisine. We had to go to a seafood restaurant, where I had the best grilled sea bass with a nice glass of white wine watching the sun setting, my favourite restaurant.
• Poolside Snack Bar: A quicker eat for a light lunch, refreshing cocktails and snacks available all day.

Since the food was so delicious, and the service was so perfect, then we enjoyed dining at the resort. So whether you’re after a gourmet meal or a casual snack, you’re bound to find something to please.

Sun loungers and palm trees create a tropical feel around the lagoon-style swimming pool on site. The Waterpark on location is a major draw for water park lovers and boasts events and attractions such as thrilling slides, lazy rivers, and splash zones for both the little ones and big kids.

The resort is situated on the rocky coast, but a short stroll can lead to beautiful sandy beaches, the opportunity to sunbathe, swim in the clear waters, and enjoy the excitement of jet skiing and snorkeling.

For the ultimate relaxation, the hotel’s luxe spa offers a range of treatments from massages to facials to body scrubs. I indulged in a deep tissue massage the perfect ending for a long day of trekking. The spa also includes a sauna, steam room and indoor pool for guests wanting to unwind.

My favorite place to have a drink, listen to acoustic music and enjoy the panoramic view of Barcelona was the rooftop bar.

Though the resort offers more than you could ever need, I highly encourage exploring the surrounding areas as well. King Evelthon Beach Hotel and Resort is perfectly located for day trips and excursions, since Cyprus is rich in history, culture, and natural beauty.

• Paphos Archaeological Park: A little further away from the resort is the UNESCO World Heritage site, which boasts amazing ancient ruins including beautiful Roman mosaics and ancient tombs.
• Tombs of the Kings: This multi-chambered underground tombs from the 4th century BC are another historical site to visit, giving you an insight into Cyprus’s culture.
• Aphrodite’s Rock:This is said to be the birthplace of Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love. The beautiful coastal rock formation makes for a popular sightseeing and photography spot.
• Local Markets and Villages: A visit to a local market or a traditional village is a means of experiencing authentic Cypriot culture, with local crafts, delicious street food, and warm hospitality.

I had the most magical stay at King Evelthon Beach Hotel and Resort. From the grand accommodation to the fine dining and fun activities, to the peaceful beachside atmosphere, the resort left no stone unturned.
